Had to throw a Gwen Stefani quote in there – I’m her biggest fan this side of the Pacific Ocean!

Art school introduced me to Andy Warhol, the most iconic artists that defined the Pop-Art era.

I was captivated from the get-go…his colours, prints, appropriation of the mundane made into the most recognizable work in the world.

One of those was a banana.

You may recognise it from The Velvet Underground’s 1967 debut album cover, which Andy Warhol actually designed it for.

A legend in art collaborating with legends in music.

Something so iconic simply couldn’t NOT be around my neck.

And whilst I may hit copyright infringements to the hilt if I chose to replicate and sell this, I’m sorry folks, but you will have to join the masses in marveling at what hangs around my neck and not yours.

Behold: the inception of me working with laser cutters and a two-tone acrylic sheet.

Never fear, I endeavor to make as close to this awesomeness as humanly possible.

Original.

Quirky.

Fun and attention-seeking.

Stay tuned…
